Mirante do Vale Building (Portuguese: Condomínio Mirante do Vale, loosely translated as Overlook of the Valley Condominium), commonly called Mirante do Vale, is a 170-metre (558 ft) office skyscraper located in São Paulo, Brazil, in the area of Downtown São Paulo and Vale do Anhangabaú. Constructed from 1959 to 1960, it is the tallest building in São Paulo, being also among, but not the tallest skyscraper in Brazil. The tallest in Brazil is Millennium Palace Residence in Balneário Camboriú. In the future, Millennium Palace may be surpassed in height by the Torre Sigma of complex Company Business Towers (189 m/620 ft) located in the south of the city of São Paulo, and Tour Geneve (185 m/608 ft) located in the city João Pessoa, Paraíba. The Mirante do Vale kept the title of tallest skyscraper of Brazil, for over 50 years, but now in 2014 it has been finally surpassed in height by the Millennium Palace Building. Mirante do Vale is the second largest now tallest skyscraper in South America.
