Doonside railway station is located on the Main Western railway line in the western Sydney suburb of Doonside. It is served by the T1 Western Line of the Sydney Trains system. A station opened on the site in 1880. Four tracks pass through the station with an island platform provided between each pair- one island platform serving 'Down' trains travelling away from Sydney, and the other island platform serving 'Up' trains travelling towards Sydney.
