The Kunsthalle Wien in Vienna is a non-collecting art centre which organizes and hosts temporary exhibitions of contemporary art. It opened in 1992, and was originally located on Karlsplatz, in a container-shaped building designed as a temporary site by the Austrian architect Adolf Krischanitz. In 2001, it moved into a new building in the Museumsquartier, along with other museums from Vienna.
