The Pan-European Picnic (German: Paneuropäisches Picknick; Hungarian: páneurópai piknik) was a peace demonstration held on the Austrian-Hungarian border near the town of Sopron, Hungary on 19 August 1989, on the eve of one of the Hungarian national days. It was an important event during the Revolutions of 1989 that led to the fall of the Iron Curtain and the reunification of Germany.
