Williams Delight is a settlement on the island of Saint Croix in the United States Virgin Islands. William's Delight is one of the largest settlements on the island of St. Croix, extending from the middle of the island to near the bottom (South). It has one of the longest straight roads running from North to South and it's aptly named Long Wait Road. St. Croix is only 3 miles from top to bottom so the 1.5-2 mile north-south drive seems much longer than usual. On the north is the public housing community also known as the Projects and called 'Top' by the locals. On the south, from 6th Street North and all the way to Melvin Evans Highway is private housing and called 'Bottom'. Across the highway is private housing again called 'Dead Bottom' or 'Bottom Beach' by the locals. This area is one of the hottest areas on the West Side and South Side of the island temperatures can reign from 89 degrees to 117 degrees on a regular day.
