WMSS (91.1 FM, "Super 91") is a high school operated high school radio station serving the Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, metropolitan area; it can be received as far south as (certain parts of) York, PA. WMSS broadcasts several different radio formats depending on the time of day. The station's apparent mission is to play once-popular songs that have been abandoned or not represented at all by local commercial stations. Although the station currently suffers from a lack of publicity, especially among populations who would appreciate the variety of rarely played songs, the station has received tremendous praise from all types of listeners for its eclectic programming. The station holds the title of being the only high school station in Central Pennsylvania, and it has been on air for more than 30 years.
