Lumiar (Portuguese pronunciation: [lumiˈaɾ]) is a freguesia (or civil parish) in the northern area of the Portuguese capital of Lisbon. Located now within the municipality of Lisbon, it was established in the 13th century. The population in 2011 was 45,605, in an area of 6.57 km².
