Early settler and Demography: In the beginning a few tribes of yousafzai and mohmand arrived and started development the arid non agricultural land. The most notable early settler was a yousafzai tribesman "Sirbuland Khan" who arrived in this area with Saidu Baba (Saidu Sharif Swat) for preaching of Islam. Sirbuland Khan start residing in mandani he was a religious scholor and saint. He had two noteable grand sons "Molana Fazal-i-Ahmad and "Fazl-i-Ahad" who were known as Molvi of Mandani. Where as Fazl-i-Ahad played a pivotal role in independence movement of 1857, khilafat movement and the mazdoor kisan movment. In british regiem he spend 3 years regurus imprisonment.
