Buluan is a 4th class municipality in the province of Maguindanao, Philippines. According to the 2010 census, it has a population of 38,106 people in 4,955 households. It currently serves as the provisional capital of Maguindanao after the brutal Maguindanao Massacre and which the former capitol, Shariff Aguak is controlled by the Ampatuan Clan, the rival family of the Mangudadatus.
