The Madre de Dios River (Spanish pronunciation: [ˈmaðɾe ðe ðjos]), homonymous to the Peruvian region it runs through, flows into the Beni River in Bolivia, which then turns northward into Brazil, where it joins with the Mamore River to become the Madeira River.
