Te Puia Springs is a small town on the east coast of the North Island of New Zealand, located 103 km north of Gisborne (1:50,000 map at http://www.topomap.co.nz/NZTopoMap/nz4576/Te-Puia-Springs/Gisborne). Its population is estimated to be between 300 and 400 people. It consists of one hospital and one shop. It has natural springs flowing throughout it, the reason being that it is in the hills of the Ngāti Porou area.
