Malm is a former municipality, a village, and the administrative centre of the municipality of Verran in Nord-Trøndelag county, Norway. Malm is located along the Trondheimsfjord, about a 32-kilometre (20 mi) drive west from the town of Steinkjer. The 1.26-square-kilometre (310-acre) village of Malm has a population (2013) of 1,556. The population density of Malm is 1,235 inhabitants per square kilometre (3,200/sq mi). The Malm area was also a separate municipality for about 50 years.
