Geithus lies between Åmot and Vikersund, in Modum municipality, in Buskerud, Norway. There is a forty minute trip to Drammen, and a little over an hour to Oslo. It lies where Tyrifjorden's (the tyri fjord's) southwestern arm ends into Drammenselva (the Drammen river).
