Idse is an island situated in Strand municipality in Rogaland with postcode 4102. Nearest neighboring island is Idsal. On Idse has been driven about 40 farms on the south and east of the island, but in recent years have shown a significant decline with only three active dairy farmers. Here they grow potatoes, tomatoes, cucumbers, strawberries, blueberries and Christmas trees. North and west side is reserved cabin areas. Especially on Tangane and Kjeksevåg there are cabins that goes back as the 1940s. There were also families from London and vicinity fled the city during the war and built "cottages" on Idse. In recent years the cottage development has been very expansive, which probably has to do with good connections to Stavanger / Sandnes area. There are currently between 300 and 400 condos on the island. It has previously been operated grocery and post office on the pier at Idse, but both are now discontinued.
