Jath (Marathi:जत) is a town and taluka headquarters in Miraj subdivision of Sangli district in southern Maharashtra in India. It is often spelled as "Jath" according to South Indian lexical nomenclature, one of the largest talukas in Maharashtra state. It has a large number of Kannada speaking population. Border villages like Umadi, Sankh mostly speak Kannada.
