Obuasi is a town in southern part of the Ashanti Region, Ghana. Obuasi is the capital of the Obuasi Municipal which lies south of the regional capital city, Kumasi. Obuasi has a settlement population of 175,043 people. The mining community, gives Obuasi its delicate mosaic of cultures from all over the county, the continent, and the rest of the world and hence its cosmopolitan culture.
