Located on the West bank of the Nile, opposite Thebes, modern Luxor, the peak of Al-Qurn, el-Qorn (Arabic: القرن) "the horn", is the highest point (420m) in the Theban Hills. Its ancient name was Ta Dehent, or "the peak".
