Wanning (Chinese Postal Map Romanisation: Manning; simplified Chinese: 万宁; traditional Chinese: 萬寧; pinyin: Wànníng; literally: "ten thousand peace") is a county-level city in the southeast of Hainan Province, China. Although called a "city", Wanning refers to a large land area in Hainan - an area which was once a county. Within this area is the main city, Wanning City.
