Shuyang (simplified Chinese: 沭阳县; traditional Chinese: 沭陽縣; pinyin: Shùyáng Xiàn), also known as Pingguo, is a county in northwestern Jiangsu province and is one of the most populated Chinese counties. According to the 2010 census, Shuyang has a population of 1.83 million and over 560,000 of the population lives in the metropolitan area. The demonym "Shuyang" is used in reference to the urban area (county seat) and the region of the county.
