Melimoyu is a stratovolcano (mapudungun meli=four moyu=breast) with an 8-km-wide, largely buried caldera located about 40 km NW of the town of Puerto Puyuhuapi, in the Aysén del General Carlos Ibáñez del Campo Region of Chile.
