Spry Bay is a community on the Eastern Shore of the Halifax Regional Municipality in the Canadian province of Nova Scotia. Spry Bay is the location of Taylor's Head Provincial Park. The park contains sand beaches, hiking trails and user facilities. Spry Bay is the home of the Spry Bay Campground and Cabins as well as the internationally known Spry Bay Yacht Club and Marina presided over by Commodore Mark S. Krause. The co-founder of the Club is Glen Boutillier, a valued member even though he moors his boat in "the other bay". The Spry Bay Yacht Club displays a burgee designed by internationally recognized illustrator Darwin Cooke. Plans for expansion include a location in Carolina Beach, N.C. and an even closer relationship with Mariner's Yacht and Ship Brokerage of Dana Point, CA, Michael O'Conner, President. Russell Webb serves as Vice Commodore of the club as well as instructor of Advanced Dangerous Sailing Techniques.
