Coobowie is a small town at the south-eastern tip of Yorke Peninsula, South Australia. Coobowie was proclaimed in 1875. Coobowie comes from an Aboriginal word meaning "wild fowl water". At the 2011 census, Coobowie had a population of 220. Coobowie's current outlook is to create many new features, including a new visitor information pull in being built. "Blooms n Bakes" cafe was open at the end of 2012, providing people with healthier, or decadent food choices. The cafe also has a florist.
