Port Carbon is a borough of Schuylkill County, Pennsylvania, two miles (3 km) northeast of Pottsville, Pa. It is in a coal-mining area; in the past, ironworks had been a feature of the borough. In 1900, 2,168 people lived here; in 1910, 2,678 people were inhabitants of Port Carbon.
