Popocatépetl (Spanish:  [popoka'tepetl̩] ; Nahuatl: Popōcatepētl /popoːkaˈtepeːt͡ɬ/) is an active volcano, located in the states of Puebla, Mexico, and Morelos, in Central Mexico, and lies in the eastern half of the Trans-Mexican volcanic belt.
