Udgir is a city with a municipal council in Latur District in the Indian state of Maharashtra. It is located in the Marathwada division of the state.(one of the divisions of Maharashtra state based on geographical conditions) It is also the headquarters for the Udgir subdivision and Udgir Taluka. It is located very near to Karnataka Border.
