Ongole is a city in Prakasam district of the Indian state of Andhra Pradesh. The city is one of the 13 municipal corporations in the state and also the headquarters of Ongole mandal. It is the 13th largest city in the state by means of population. Ongole is known for its Ongole cattle, a breed of oxen.
