Kelud (Klut, Cloot, Kloet, Kloete, Keloed or Kelut) is an active stratovolcano located in East Java on Java in Indonesia. Like many Indonesian volcanoes and others on the Pacific Ring of Fire, Kelud is known for large explosive eruptions throughout its history. More than 30 eruptions have occurred since 1000 AD. In 2007, a efusive explosion made the crater with depth 30 to 50 meters disappeared, because the bottom of the crater leaked and initial to made a lava dome. It last erupted on February 13, 2014 the lava dome threw away as boulders, stones and ashes up to West Java about 500 kilometers from Mount Kelud and the crater initial to fill with water in rainy season.
