Great Hallingbury is a village and a civil parish near the M11 motorway, in the Uttlesford District, in the English county of Essex. It is near the town of Bishop's Stortford. At the edge of the Village lies the ancient Royal Hunting Forest and National Trust property Hatfield Forest. The Village is relatively small, containing houses from a selection of eras including Tudor through to modern builds. The village population has shown a considerable decrease in size resulting in the closure of the village school.
