Garanhuns is a city in the Brazilian state of Pernambuco. Located in the Borborema Plateau, the town is known as the "Suíça Pernambucana" (Pernambucan Switzerland) due to its pleasant weather during summer and low temperatures during winter, something rather unusual for the region.
