Buxton, is a small town in Queensland, Australia, situated on the banks of the Burrum River, about 20 kilometres (12 mi) from the Bruce Highway, and upstream from Burrum Heads and Walkers Point. The town has a general store, a transfer station, a boat ramp and some picnic facilities. There are also a few holiday houses up for rent during the holidays. The community is serviced by the Isis District State High School and is part of the Bundaberg Region local government area.
