Shaula Island (66°58′S57°21′E) is an island 4.8 km (3 mi) long and rising to 490 ft (150 m) lying 1.6 km (1 mi) east of Achernar Island in the Oygarden Group. Mapped by Norwegian cartographers from aerial photos taken by the Lars Christensen Expedition, 1936–37, and called "Soroya" (the south island).
