Connersville is a third class city in Fayette County, east central Indiana, United States, 66 miles east by southeast of Indianapolis. The population was 13,481 at the 2010 census. The city is the county seat of and the largest and only incorporated town in Fayette County. It is home to the county's one and only high school. The nearest significant city is Richmond, IN, approx. 26 miles northeast by road. There has been no significant industry in the town since the 1990s, and the population has been steadily declining since the 1960s.
