Jorethang (Nepali : जोरेथाङ) is a major town in South Sikkim district in the Indian state of Sikkim. The town is situated at an altitude of about 300 metres (980 ft) above sea level and has a temperate climate. Jorethang lies on the Rangeet River, a tributary of the Teesta River, on the way to Pelling from Darjeeling, Siliguri and Kalimpong. The route is well connected by buses and jeeps.

Kalimpong is a hill station nestled in the Shiwalik Hills. It is located at (27.06°N 88.47°E) at an average elevation of 1,247 m (4,100 feet). The town is the headquarters of the Kalimpong subdivision, a part of the district of Darjeeling.
