Bumpstead was a rural district in the administrative county of Essex, England from 1894 to 1934.
Saffron Walden is a market town in the Uttlesford district of Essex, England. It is 12 miles (19 km) north of Bishop's Stortford, 18 miles (29 km) south of Cambridge and 43 miles (69 km) north of London.
