Frederiksberg (Danish pronunciation: [fɑːɑʁiɡ̊sˈbeɐ̯]) is a town (the Frederiksberg Municipality) in Denmark's Capital City Region (Region Hovedstaden). It is surrounded by but separate from Copenhagen. It occupies an area of less than 9 km2 and had a population of 103,192 in 2015. Frederiksberg is an enclave surrounded by the city of Copenhagen. There is no visible border between Frederiksberg and the other districts of Copenhagen, and the town is informally considered to be a part of Copenhagen. For instance, the Copenhagen Zoo as well as several stations of the Copenhagen Metro (the stations Forum, Frederiksberg, Fasanvej, Lindevang, and Flintholm) are located in Frederiksberg.
