Monte Sano State Park is a 2,140-acre (866 ha) Alabama state park and mountaintop retreat located in Huntsville on the eastern portion of the top and slopes of Monte Sano Mountain. The park has 1930s-era, Civilian Conservation Corps–built rustic cottages, hiking trails with scenic overlooks, picnic areas, and modern campsites.
