Gölbaşı is a town and district of the Ankara Province in the Central Anatolia region of Turkey, 20 km (12 mi) south of the city of Ankara. According to a 2010 census, the population of the district is 95,109, 93,852 of whom live in the town of Gölbaşı. The district covers an area of 738 km² (285 sq mi), and the average elevation is 970 m (3,182 ft).
