Tadepalle, popularly known as Kotturu-Tadepalle, is a village situated about 8 km from the border of Vijayawada in Krishna District. This village has two associated Sivaru villages, Kotturu and Vemavaram. As of 2011 India census Tadepalle had a population of 4,103 comprising males and females both 50%. The main occupation of the people in this village is agriculture. The village is known for its Mango gardens. The Right canal of the proposed Polavaram Project, passes through the valuable garden lands of Vemavaram and Tadepalle before it merges with the Budameru Diversion canal at Velagaleru village to join the Krishna River upstreem Praksam Barrage near Vijayawada. The village has a Zilla Parishad High School, a Missionary High School and two primary schools to cater to the educational needs of boys and girls. For higher education inhabitants have to look to Vijayawada.
