Nippes Department
Nippes (Haitian Creole: Nip) is the newest department (French: département) of Haiti, having been split from Grand'Anse Department in 2003. The capital of the department is Miragoâne.
Fond-des-Blancs is a town located in the Sud Department of Haiti in the Aquin Arrondissement. It is the home of many people of Polish descent who have fought for the Haitian resistance during the Napoleonic Wars, after switching sides from fighting within the French regiments.
