Renfrewshire or the County of Renfrew (Latin: Praefectura Renfroana) is a historic county in Scotland. It is located in the West Central Lowlands, opposite Dunbartonshire and divided from Argyllshire by the Firth of Clyde. It is sometime known as "Greater Renfrewshire", in order to distinguish it from the council area of the same name.
