Lake Victoria (Nam Lolwe in Luo; "Nalubaale" in Luganda; Nyanza in Kinyarwanda and some Bantu language) is one of the African Great Lakes. The lake was named after Queen Victoria by the explorer John Hanning Speke, the first European to document it.
