Trnovec (pronounced [təɾˈnoːvəts]; German: Tiefenreuther or Tiefenreuter) is a settlement in the hills northeast of the town of Kočevje in southern Slovenia. It was a village inhabited by Gottschee Germans. At the start of the Second World War its original population was evicted.
