The Gibraltar Artificial Reef, or simply the Gibraltar Reef is the ongoing artificial reef project for the Mediterranean waters surrounding the British overseas territory of Gibraltar. The initiative was started in 1973 by Eric Shaw of the Helping Hand Trust.
